Basic Life Support & Medical Emergencies

This bespoke course covers basic life support plus medical emergencies and will give a learner the knowledge and practical competence required to be able to provide crucial assistance to a casualty in an emergency until medical assistance arrives, potentially saving a life. The qualification covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), primary survey, the recovery position and choking. The course also covers the life saving medications found in both Dental and Doctors practices, the useage, dosages and storage of the drugs and how to administer them.
