PROVIDING NON-EMERGENCY PATIENT TRANSPORT SERVICESCONTRACTED TO NHS TRUSTS, SOCIAL SERVICES AND PRIVATE CLIENTS
Medical Response Services has been providing Non-emergency Patient Transport Services (NEPTS) since 2005. We have grown considerably from the early days and now have over 40 employees serving the North West of England. We provide services to NHS Trusts and Local Authority’s as well as some private individuals who want the highest levels of care for their loved ones.
Over the years we have developed our services in to what they are today and we are striving for continuous improvement all the time.
In 2019 we invested in welcoming a Compliance and Governance specialist to the team who ensures our policies, processes and practices are up to date with NHS standards, legislation, regulation and best practice.
In June 2022 we obtained a rating of Good with the Care Quality Commission following an announced inspection. We are now rated as ‘Good’ in each of the 5 Key Lines of Enquiry.
Still led by its Founder and Director, Warren Bolton, we are a proud independent provider of NEPTS.
MRS are able to safely transport all patients with individualised care.
90% of our vehicles are equipped with Stryker bariatric stretchers capable of conveying patients up to 318kg. We also have a Megasus stretcher capable of
conveying up to 400kg
All of our care assistants are trained in the BILD accredited Timian Learning and Development – Positive Behaviour Support.
We are able to say yes to transporting nearly every patient regardless of complexities at the destination or the patient’s own complex needs.
With a current fleet of 16 Patient Transport Ambulances and over 40 employees we can provide services on a contract or ad-hoc basis. We operate 365 days a year, 24 hours each day enabling you to free up valuable beds for your patients who need them.
We have dual purpose vehicles capable of transporting all patients including bariatric. We use the highest specification stretchers and equipment, including AED and first aid kits to ensure patients are transported safely.
Each patient is fully risk assessed prior to transport, including separate property risk assessments where access and egress may be compromised.
All our Ambulance Care Assistants have a full enhanced Adult workforce DBS, annual driving licence check and regular driving assessment. They all have to complete statutory and mandatory training in accordance with the Skills for Care Core Skills Training Framework.
